Our Staff

All head teachers have New York State certification and have master’s degrees from the Bank Street College of Education. Co-Director, Diana Carr is also a graduate of Bank Street and has been at the school since 1995. Co-Director Mandi Ridler, a staff member since 2007, graduated from Hunter College with a master’s degree in Special Education and has extensive experience working with young children.

All of our classrooms are staffed with one head teacher and one or two well qualified assistant teachers depending on class size and the age of the children in the group.

In addition to our classroom staff, the school also employs specialists on a part-time basis. Our educational consultant, who has worked at the school since 2001, is both a certified special educator as well as a licensed social worker and is on site once a week. We also offer music and movement enrichment activities for the children. Our movement specialist is a former RIDN classroom teacher and certified yoga instructor who has been practicing and teaching since 2000. Our music instructor, a professional jazz musician and composer, has a background in music education and has extensive experience working with young children.
